The scent of fresh hay from the stables where you've left your horses for the night follows you as you push past the heavy wooden doors and cross the threshold into the inn. The strong smell of ale and sweet pipe weed hangs in the air as you survey your surrounds. Despite the rough exterior, the inside of the inn is warm and the thick, cedar beams criss-crossing the ceiling give the establishment a certain rustic charm. It may not be the nicest place you've ever stayed but after days of roughing it on the road, the idea of a bed —any bed —to rest for the evening is definitely appealing.
A more earthy version of Bustling Tavern, this fragrance is rich with aromatic top notes of grainy hops (beer/ale), cedar and dark rum softened with slightly sweeter scents of spiced honey mead, fresh hay and just a hint of pipe tobacco. A full-bodied candle that will make you feel right at home in your party's rough and rustic surrounds.
